Biography:

Ángel Valdez Rosales is a Peruvian artist and curator with studies in Anthropology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and painting at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes de Lima. He began his artistic career in 1991 with his notable work Juicio sumario, followed by several exhibitions and awards both nationally and internationally. In 1999, he received a grant from the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (AECI) for artistic projects and later obtained a scholarship for professional training in Ibero-American cultural sector from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Spain. Upon his return, he joined forces with colleagues interested in revisiting Baroque painting.
