Biography:

Çağdaş Erçelik was born in İzmir, Turkey in 1983. He studied at Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi and received his bachelor's degree in Sculpture in 2005. He continued his education at the same university and received his master's degree in Sculpture. He is currently pursuing his doctorate. Erçelik has participated in many group exhibitions between 2003 and 2011. His first solo exhibition was held in 2018 at Ekavart Gallery. Erçelik is known for his life-size sculptures inspired by Turkish movies, especially those produced during the Yeşilçam period. He has also created sculptures based on famous films such as 'Oh Beautiful Istanbul'.
