Biography:

Étienne Dupérac, also known as Stefano Du Perac or Du Perach, was a French artist of the Renaissance period. He was born around 1525 in Bordeaux, France. Dupérac worked as an engraver, painter, architect, and cartographer. He arrived in Rome in 1559 and spent two decades working on various projects, including designing views, archaeological sites, and monuments. Dupérac's work is notable for its precision and attention to detail, making him a valuable resource for understanding the architecture of ancient Rome during the 16th century. He also worked on other artistic projects, such as painting landscapes and collaborating with other artists. Dupérac died in Paris in 1604.
