The company was founded in 1873 in Paris and quickly opened succursales in major cities in France and abroad. Éventails Chambrelent was known for producing high-quality paper objects, including images, chromos, cartons, buvards, protège-cahiers, and, of course, éventails. The company's fans were often used for advertising various products, such as champagne and steam trains. Éventails Chambrelent was one of the most significant producers of advertising fans in France, which was the world's largest producer of such fans during the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth centuries. The company disappeared after the Second World War.
