Žolt Kovač is a painter born in 1975 in Pančevo, Serbia. After graduating from the Mathematical High School, he enrolled at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, Department of Painting, where he received his M.A. in 2002. In 2016, he received the Doctor of Art degree at the same faculty.
