Vasily Vasilyevich Rozhdestvensky was a Russian painter born in Moscow in 1884 and died in 1963. He was a member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia and the Union of Russian Artists. Rozhdestvensky was known for his still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. His works are characterized by their bright colors and dynamic compositions. He was a professor at the Moscow State Art Institute and the Surikov Art Institute. Rozhdestvensky's paintings are held in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and other museums in Russia and around the world.
