Biography:
Sochi, Huh Ryeon was a well-known Korean painter and calligrapher, born in Jinju, South Korea in 1809 and died in 1892. He was a disciple of Kim Jeong-hee and was especially known for his plum paintings. He was also a literary artist of Chinese paintings of the Southern School during the late Joseon dynasty and the founder of the Ho Nam painting circle. He was also known as a poet and writer.
