Biography:
Aleksandër Filipi was an Albanian actor born in Korça in 1926. He began his acting career in non-professional troupes in Korça during the Second World War. After the war, he worked as an actor at the Korça hospital and then at the 'Andon Zako Çajupi' theater. He acted in more than 30 feature and television films, and was known for his roles as fathers, grandfathers, elders, and Germans. In 1986, he received the 'Aleksander Moisiu' Award. Filipi was posthumously honored with the high title 'People's Artist' on 5 August 1991 for his artistic merits.
