Biography:

Amédée Couesnon, also known as Auguste Amédée Couesnon, was a French politician and businessman born on November 7, 1850, in Provins, France, and died on September 29, 1931, in Château-Thierry, France. He was the owner of the important musical instrument factory Couesnon and was a deputy of the Aisne from March 24, 1907, to December 7, 1919. He was a member of the Parti républicain, radical et radical-socialiste and contributed to the Assembly on military and industry-related topics. His interventions were described as full of common sense, leading to the creation of the neologism 'couesnonnades' in the press. He did not run for re-election in 1919.
