The Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP) is the central bank of Peru. It was established on March 9, 1922, by Law No. 4500 and its main function is to preserve monetary stability in the country. The BCRP issues currency notes and coins, regulates the financial system's credit and currency, administers international reserves, reports regularly on national finances, and manages the profitability of funds.
