Biography:

Aranda/Lasch is a New York-based design studio founded in 2003 by Benjamin Aranda and Chris Lasch. The studio is dedicated to experimental research and innovative building, designing buildings, art, and software through a deep investigation of culture, materials, and algorithmic processes. Aranda/Lasch has received numerous awards, including the United States Artists Fellowship in 2014 and the Architectural League of New York's Emerging Voices award in 2007. Their work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Venice Architecture Biennale. Aranda/Lasch has also collaborated with various artists, including Terrol Dew Johnson, a Tohono O'odham basket maker and sculptor. The studio's work has been featured in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and The Guardian.
