Biography:
Bernardo de Arás was a gothic painter from Huesca, Spain. He was active in Aragón between 1433 and 1472. He is identified with the Maestro de Pompién and is known for his work in tempera on panel. He was a follower of the Aragonese circle of Jaume Huguet and was professionally related to Bonanat Zaortiga and Pedro de Zuera. He is well documented and his work has been exhibited in various museums, including the Museo de Huesca.
