Biography:
Bronisław Jamontt was a Polish painter and pedagogue. He studied at the University of Stefan Batory in Vilnius and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Petersburg. Jamontt taught art in various schools and institutions, including the School Realna Polskiej Macierzy Szkolnej in Homel and the Gimnazjum im. Króla Zygmunta Augusta in Vilnius. He was a prolific artist, exhibiting his work in numerous cities across Europe, including Warsaw, Paris, Brussels, and Moscow. Jamontt's style evolved over time, from realistic depictions of nature to more fantastical and decorative landscapes. He was a professor at the University of Toruń and held the title of Doctor of Fine Arts.
