Carl August Lebschée was a German painter, etcher, and lithographer, born at Schmiegel (modern Śmigiel), Poland in 1800. He studied at Munich, where his parents settled in 1807. Lebschée's artistic style was characterized by his ability to paint landscapes and architecture in oil and watercolours, and he designed in the style of different masters.

Artistic Career
