Biography:
Laboratorio Picchiarini was a stained glass workshop based in Rome, Italy. It was founded by Cesare Picchiarini, who inherited the family business from his father. The workshop was known for its production of colored glass and artistic stained glass windows, which were influenced by the Art Nouveau style of the time. Laboratorio Picchiarini collaborated with various artists, architects, and decorators, including Giulio Cesare Giuliani, Duilio Cambellotti, Vittorio Grassi, and Umberto Bottazzi. The workshop's work was exhibited in several exhibitions, including the First Exhibition of Stained Glass (1912) in Rome. Laboratorio Picchiarini also produced the stained glass windows for the Casina delle Civette in Rome, which was built for Prince Giovanni Torlonia. In 1924, Cesare Picchiarini founded the School of Artistic Glass, which he directed until 1928. Cesare Picchiarini died in 1938.
