Consuelo Hernández is a Spanish figurative painter, in the current of realism, considered among the most important contemporary Spanish artists. Born in Tornavacas (Cáceres), Spain, Consuelo Hernández is a painter by birth. As José María Bermejo wrote in his first exhibition in Plasencia: “The sensitivity of her work is evident in the way she captures the light and the atmosphere of the places she paints, as well as in the way she portrays the human figure, with a deep understanding of the human condition. Her work is characterized by a strong sense of composition and a deep understanding of color. She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain and abroad, and her work is represented in many public and private collections. She is a member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
