Cornelis Brisé, also known as Cornelis Brisée, Bresee, Brizé, and Brizée, was a Dutch Golden Age painter born in Haarlem in 1622 and deceased in Amsterdam in 1670. He made a trip to Rome in 1642 but returned to the Netherlands in 1655, settling in Amsterdam. He specialized in still life painting, including harness, which was considered the most difficult object to paint. His work is known for its trompe-l'œil effect and meticulous detail.
