Biography:

Eduardo Eloísio Frota is a Brazilian sculptor and professor. He was born on July 21, 1983, in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. Eduardo attended the Curso Intensivo de Arte/Educación (CIAE) at Escolinha de Arte do Brasil (EAB) in Rio de Janeiro from 1979 to 1980 and later earned a full degree in Art Education from Faculdades Integradas Bennet in Rio de Janeiro. He has participated in various exhibitions, including the Salão Carioca de Arte in 1982 and 1986, and the Officina do Corpo at Escola de Artes Visuais (EAV/Parque Lage) in Rio de Janeiro in 1983. Eduardo has also studied at Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (MAM/RJ), where he participated in the Volume/Espaço course with Gastão Manuel Henrique, and at UNIRIO - Universidade do Rio de Janeiro under Prof. Ronaldo Brito. In 1996, Eduardo received a grant from Projeto Uniarte 96 by Faperj/UFRJ, and in 2007 he was awarded the Civitella Ranieri Foundation scholarship in Italy. He has also worked as an educator and curator throughout his career.
