Biography:
Egidius Lobenigk was a German artist born in 1595. He was a court turner for the Electors of Saxony in the 1580s. He was known for his exuberant works in ivory, including a set of nested geometric solids. He worked in Dresden from 1584 to 1591, where he was the court turner. He was a contemporary of George Wecker. One of his most famous works is 'Two polyhedrons'. He died in an unknown year.
