Biography:

Estela Silva is a photographer and journalist for the LUSA, Portugal News Agency. She was born in Portugal and has been working as a photojournalist for LUSA since 2003. She has covered various events and news stories in Portugal and abroad. In 2019, she photographed the Portuguese Language Spelling Council (COLP) for an article on the organization's work to standardize the Portuguese language. Silva's photography has been recognized with several awards, including the Grand Prize of the Portuguese Press Photography in 2011 and 2013. She has also exhibited her work in several individual and collective exhibitions in Portugal and abroad.
