Eva Kmentová was a renowned Czech sculptor and painter born in Prague, Czech Republic in 1930. Early Life and Education

Kmentová studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague under Prof. Josef Wagner, where she graduated in 1950 with a monumental sculpture of Master Jan Hus. She was a member of the Umělecká beseda and the Czechoslovak Union of Artists until 1970. Kmentová's sculptures are influenced by the late work of Otto Gutfreund, as well as the work of Henry Moore, Francis Bacon, and Alberto Giacometti.
