Biography:

Francisco Simplicio was a Spanish luthier born in Barcelona in 1874. He was a cabinet-maker before turning to the making of guitars as a pupil of Enrique Garcia. Simplicio is considered one of the greatest luthiers and the creator of the modern guitar. He died in 1932.
