Friedrich Schröder Sonnenstern, also known as Friedrich Schröder, was a German artist and painter born in Sovetsk, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, in 1892 and died in Berlin, Germany, in 1982. He is considered one of the most important representatives of Art Brut or Outsider Art. His works are mainly drawings and paintings, characterized by colorful and subversive caricatures of monsters and other fantastical creatures.
