George Ebling was a professional photographer for The Ford Motor Company. He was born in Detroit, United States in 1886 and died in 1955. He worked for the Ford Motor Company's Photographic Department, which was established in 1914 to provide images for various purposes such as recording production methodology, illustrating publications, and providing publicity for Henry Ford and his company. The Photographic Department was initially located in the administration building of the Highland Park Plant and later moved to the Rouge Plant administration building in Dearborn, Michigan. In the mid-1920s, the department's emphasis gradually shifted towards public relations and promotional functions. George Ebling was one of the photographers who worked for the Photographic Department, producing both moving pictures and still photographs.
