Biography:

French medallist and sculptor, studied with Falguière and A. Dubois. His work included a number of plaquettes, such as Woman at a Spring, Child Fishing, Thought and Hope: perhaps the most successful of these was Sailors' Widows. He also executed numerous portraits, both of contemporaries, including Edmond Rostand, Pierre Loti and Henri Poincar?, and of historical figures such as Moli?re and Watteau.
