Biography:

Gloria Argelès is an Argentinean Postwar & Contemporary artist born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1940. She is best known for her sculptures and has exhibited in various places around the world, including the XIa Quadriennale di Roma at Fondazione La Quadriennale di Roma in 1996. Her work has also been displayed in the Museo di Roma in Trastevere and the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico. Argelès has also had her work featured in exhibitions at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico and the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. In 2018, she completed a North American tour, with a performance at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Argelès's sculptures often incorporate elements of nature and are known for their organic forms and textures. Her work has been collected by individuals and institutions around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Gallery in London.
