Biography:
Hussein Chalayan is a British-Cypriot fashion designer born in Nicosia, Cyprus on August 12, 1970. He has won the British Designer of the Year award twice (in 1999 and 2000) and was awarded the MBE in 2006. Chalayan is known for his experimental and innovative designs that often incorporate intellectual concepts and artistic elements. He is currently teaching at HTW Berlin.
