Biography:
Hans Müller, also known as Hans Müller von Bulgenbach, was a peasant leader during the German Peasants' War. He was born between 1485 and 1495 in Bulgenbach, Germany. After serving in the French military, he became involved in peasant uprisings in 1524 and played a pivotal role in the initial peasant uprising at Stuhlingen. He organized peasant bands throughout southwestern Germany and was captured after the peasants' loss at Klettgau in July 1525. He was imprisoned, tortured, and executed in August of that year.
