Harry Chávez Alzamora

Biography:

Harry Chávez Alzamora is a Peruvian visual artist, curator and representative of the Amazonist art movement. He was born on an unknown date in Lima, Peru. His work explores the mythical, symbolic and mystical universe of ancient cultures around the world with particular attention to Pre-Columbian civilizations such as the Incas. Chávez has exhibited his works in various cities across Peru including Lima, Iquitos and Cusco. He is best known for his painting 'Pachamamita' which won third place at the National Painting Competition of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru.
