Hirosaki Yuya is a Japanese artist born in 1933 in Hyogo, Japan. He is known for his work in ceramics, specifically for his Mashiko ware. Hirosaki Yuya has sought creative possibilities outside of the limitations imposed by Mashiko clay, instead turning to porcelain. His approach is representative of a new generation of Mashiko ware artists who are pushing the boundaries of the traditional craft.
