Biography:
Ilja Holešovský is a Czech-Slovak ceramic artist. He was born in 1941 in Brno, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). Holešovský studied at the School of Art and Crafts in Brno and later at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague. He is known for his ceramic sculptures that often depict everyday life scenes with a touch of irony. His work has been exhibited in various galleries and museums, and he has also participated in several international symposia on ceramics. Holešovský is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field of ceramics.
