Biography:

Isidoro Marín Garés was a Spanish painter, ceramicist and art restorer. He was born in Granada, Spain in 1863 and died in 1926. He studied at the 'Escuela de Bellas Artes de Granada' and exhibited outside of Granada on only one occasion: the 1888 Barcelona Universal Exposition. He was influenced by Mariano Fortuny and Impressionism, and is especially well-remembered for his watercolors. He was a member of the Centro Artístico, Literario y Científico de Granada and the 'Avellana Brotherhood'. He was also a co-founder of the local watercolorists' society.
