Biography:
, a renowned Croatian artist, was born in Petrinja, Croatia in 1921. His artistic journey began with sculpture, but he soon explored a wide variety of media, including permanent and temporary sculptures, assemblages, proclamations, photographs, paintings, and installations.
Kožarić's works are characterized by a sense of mischief, spontaneity, and a nonchalant approach to life. His sculptures, in particular, reduced in form during his period with the Gorgona Group (1959-1966), which would become the main characteristic of his later sculptural project, "The Feeling of Wholeness."
