Biography:

Jörg Kölderer was an Austrian painter and architect who served Maximilian I of Habsburg. He worked as a court painter from 1493 and became the master builder of Tyrol in 1518. His art is often considered to be a precursor to the Danube School, with his work mainly focused on translating the ideals of Maximilian into realistic hunting scenes or detailed war scenes. Some of his notable works include designs for the Triumphal Arch of Maximilian and illustrations for the Book of Hunting in Tyrol.
