João Fahrion

was a Brazilian painter, engraver, draughtsman, and illustrator. He was born on October 4, 1898, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and died on August 11, 1970, in the same city. João Fahrion studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin between 1920 and 1922 but returned to Porto Alegre without completing his training.

Early Career and Exhibitions

exhibited at the National Salon of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro, where he received a bronze medal in 1922 and a silver medal in 1924. He also worked as a decorator and produced illustrations for various publications, including Diário de Notícias newspaper.
