Biography:
Joaquín Gonzalo y Tarín was a Spanish engineer of mines and geologist. He studied at the School of Engineers of Mines in Madrid and graduated with top honors. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as inspector general of the Corps of Mining Engineers, paleontologist, writer, and member of several scientific societies. Gonzalo y Tarín was also involved in geological research for the province of Granada and contributed to the description, physics, and mining aspects of Spain's natural resources.
