Biography:

José Lafita Díaz was a Spanish artist born in Seville in 1887 and died in the same city in 1945. He was part of a family of little-known Sevillian artists, despite the importance of their works during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Lafita Díaz specialized in sculpture and design, and among his most famous works is the Fuente de la Plaza Virgen de los Reyes in Seville, created in 1929.
