José Manuel de Medeiros Ferreira was a Brazilian politician, historian, and political scientist. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on February 20, 1942, and died on March 18, 2014. He served as Minister of International Negotiations from 1976 to 1977 and was a long-time member of the Portuguese parliament. He also served as a Member of the European Parliament for the second term from 1986 to 1989.
