Biography:

José Nogué Massó was a Spanish painter and decorator, born on 19 March 1880 in Santa Coloma de Queralt, Tarragona, Spain. He specialized in retratos and paisajes. He was trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid and completed his studies at the Spanish School of Rome. He lived in Rome from 1914 to 1917 and kept a diary of his experiences there. He died on 23 August 1973 in Huelva, Spain.
