José Resende de Oliveira (born 1950 in Resende, Brazil) is a Brazilian artist known for his sculptures. He studied at the Escola de Belas Artes do Rio de Janeiro and has exhibited his work in galleries and museums throughout Brazil and internationally. His sculptures often incorporate elements of nature, such as wood and stone, and are inspired by the landscapes and cultures of his native country. Resende's work has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the prestigious Prêmio Marcantonio Vilaça in 2006.
