Royal Meissen Porcelain Manufacture, also known as Königlich-Sächsische Porzellan-Manufaktur, is a porcelain manufacturer based in Meissen, Germany. It was established in 1710 by Augustus the Strong, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony, and is considered the first European manufacturer of hard-paste porcelain. The factory was originally located in the Albrechtsburg castle in Meissen, and was later moved to its current location in 1863. The signature logo of the company is the crossed swords, which was introduced in 1720.
