Biography:
Kanō Isen’in Naganobu (1775-1828) was a Japanese artist who was the seventh generation head of the Kobikichō branch of the Kanō school in Edo (modern Tokyo). He was an artist of considerable skill and is known for his work in ink and color on silk. He was the son and pupil of Kano Yosen'in Korenobu, whom he succeeded as head of the family. He was also known by the name Gyokusen.
