Biography:

Kano Chōkichi was a Japanese artist from Kyoto, Japan. He was born in 1528 and died in 1592. He was a member of the Kano school of painting, which was the longest lived and most influential school of painting in Japanese history. The Kano school was founded by Kano Masanobu in the 15th century and lasted for more than 300 years. Kano Chōkichi was a significant contributor to the school and is known for his landscape paintings. He is considered to be one of the greatest Japanese painters of the Muromachi period.
