Biography:

Katarzyna Tretyn-Zečević is a Polish visual and intermedial artist and academic teacher. She was born in 1983 in Włocławek, Poland. Tretyn-Zečević received her doctorate from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She has presented her work in numerous exhibitions and has received several awards for her artwork. Tretyn-Zečević's artwork is inspired by science, particularly astronomy. She is known for her use of unconventional materials and her exploration of the relationship between art and science. Tretyn-Zečević's art often incorporates elements of physics and astronomy, and she is currently working on a project that interprets Nikolaus Copernicus’ heliocentric theory. Tretyn-Zečević is also an academic teacher and has taught at several universities in Poland. She is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
