Biography:
Kemal Önsöy is a Turkish Postwar & Contemporary painter born in Sariidris, Isparta in Turkey in 1954. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Marmara University in Istanbul in 1980. Önsoy held his first exhibition in Istanbul in 1979 and participated in a number of solo and group exhibitions in the 1980’s. He also studied in New York between 1990-1993. Önsoy's work has been featured in many exhibitions at key galleries and museums, including the Venice Biennale. He currently lives and works in Istanbul.
