Biography:
Konstanty Wojutyński was a Polish artist born in Warsaw in 1872 and died in 1939. He was a prolific publisher of postcards, with a particular focus on Warsaw and other cities in the Kingdom of Poland and the Second Polish Republic. His company, K. Wojutyński i S-ka, was founded around 1900 and was one of the most productive Polish publishers of postcards, with a catalog of several different series and a large archive of photographs. Wojutyński himself was not a photographer, but rather acquired the works of other photographers and published them exclusively. He is known for his high-quality postcards, which often featured retouched and updated images of Warsaw's buildings and landscapes. In addition to his postcard business, Wojutyński also worked as a photographer and is known for his images of Warsaw's Old Town.
