Landis+Gyr is a publicly listed, multinational corporation operating in over 30 countries and headquartered in Cham, Switzerland. Landis+Gyr makes meters and related software for electricity and gas utilities. The company was founded in 1896 by Richard Landis and Jack Gyr in Zug, Switzerland. In 1914, the company moved to its current headquarters in Cham, Switzerland. In 1995, Landis+Gyr was acquired by Toshiba and in 2011, it was sold to Siemens. In 2017, Landis+Gyr was spun off from Siemens and is now a publicly traded company on the Swiss Stock Exchange.
