Biography:
Lea Mrázová (born Lea Krššáková) was a Slovak painter, publicist, and translator. She was born on November 9, 1906, in Moštenica, Slovakia. She studied at the gymnasium in Banská Bystrica, followed by the Charles University in Prague, and completed her studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava, where she studied philosophy. She also studied painting privately with Gustáv Mallý. Mrázová was known for her expressive and decorative style, particularly in her portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. She exhibited her work in Slovakia and abroad, and passed away on January 11, 1995, in Bratislava.
