Biography:

Leyla Cárdenas is a Colombian artist born in Bogotá in 1975. She studied Visual Arts at the National University of Colombia and obtained a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Cárdenas' work focuses on the relationship between architecture, memory and identity, often using techniques such as drawing, installation and video. She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Colombia and abroad, and has received several awards and recognitions for her artistic career. Cárdenas currently lives and works in Bogotá.
