Biography:
Linda Sánchez Pintor is a sculptor, painter, and draftswoman born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico in 1970. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with a concentration in Sculpture from the School of Fine Arts and Design of Puerto Rico, San Juan in 1994. Her work has been exhibited in various museums and galleries, including the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, the Museo de Arte de Bayamón, and the Atlantic Theater Company in New York City. Sánchez Pintor's art is known for its transformative qualities and its exploration of social change. She has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work, including the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 2001 and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2005.
